Impact of electromagnetic waves on infrared sensors
26-05-15
The working principle of the infrared sensor is to rely on infrared to perform non-contact temperature measurement to sense nearby people and animals. In a general environment, it can be used normally without barriers; but in some special cases, it may interfere with the infrared sensor’s sensing ability.
One of the cases is that electromagnetic wave interference which its signal emitted by electromagnetic waves will have a certain impact on infrared sensors. Since most sensors now use programs to simulate the light emitted by infrared rays to achieve the purpose of inductive measurement, while electromagnetic waves certainly interfere with stability of such sensor programs.

There are many products with a wide range of electromagnetic waves in the market , such as computers, WIFI, mobile phones, large household appliances, etc. For issues of electromagnetic interference.

For the problem of electromagnetic wave interference, there is already a good improvement plan in the market, that is, adding an anti-interference mode to the program of the infrared sensor to improve the problem of electromagnetic wave interference to the program.
Another method is to install the infrared sensor away from such high radio wave transmission products.
We may encounter the problem of sensor failure in our daily life. In fact, the electromagnetic waves emitted by some products with wide signal propagation are interfering, and the two methods mentioned above can effectively improve the interference problem of electromagnetic waves on the sensor.
